GREETING ON ARRIVAL

Fancy a warm greeting on arrival?
You will feel more at ease and confident. And above all, you won’t get lost in the London streets and underground with your heavy luggage on the back as I will lead you straight to your accommodation.

Available greeting places and times:

Stansted : between 8am and 3pm
Heathrow : between 10am and 4pm
Waterloo : between 8am and 4pm

FLATSHARE ACCOMODATION

I work with some private landlords who own one or more properties. In addition, every week I approach new landlords who then offer the rooms they have to fill. I go through a first selection according to the zone (2 to 3), the location and the transport facilities. I then view the properties to make sure they can be suitable for my clients (Cleanliness, room size compared to price, room price according to area). Anything below level is rejected.

In general, contracts vary between 3, 6 and 12 months and need to be signed on moving in. Please make sure you read your contract thoroughly and understand it. Keep a copy of it for future reference as the contract is between you and the landlord.

Your address will be given 1 or 2 weeks before your arrival.

*Twin rooms are very popular and are therefore not always available. Please note that even if you are 2 friends, your room could be a room with a double bed.

The deposit varies according to the property. I therefore ask you to add £400 to the payment owed to Allondres. This £400 will be given to the landlord to reserve the accommodation and will be deducted from the deposit you owe him. For example:

If the deposit is £450 and the first month rent £500, £50 from the deposit will remain to be paid on arrival as well as £500 for the first month.

If the deposit is £300 and the first month rent £375, the deposit will have been paid in full which only leaves you with £275 to pay on arrival.

PREPARATION FOR INTERVIEWS

This half a day session can be booked the day after your arrival or later if you wish. It will depend as well on the availability of the dates so ask on booking.
I will come to you so you can keep your slippers on !

We will work together to get you ready for interviews to come. It will include :

Role plays,
Study companies or employers and come up with questions they are likely to ask during the interview,
Practical and general advice on the best way to present yourself, how to dress and how to speak,
Constructive criticism on your abilities with suggestions to work on your weak points.

If you are shy, don’t worry I am not here to judge you or push you. I will respect your views.

WHOLE DAY PACKAGE 1

This whole day will be devoted to spend time in London to help you in your employment search : from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm.
In the morning, I will guide you to shops, restaurants &/or hotels where you can give your CV. We will concentrate on the ones that are more likely to need staff. We can do the same thing close to your accommodation of there is a commercial street nearby.

In the afternoon, we will go to a recruitment agency to look through the offers available and start applying for the ones that suit you. I will also take you to one or two recruitment centres of big companies. Some of them interview you straight away, some get you to fill an application form and call you back if your profile is suitable to their needs. I advise you to consider the Half Day Preparation to Interviews as it will also prove useful to fill application forms.

WHOLE DAY PACKAGE 2

It is a mixture between the Half a Day session and the Package 1.
From 10:30 am to 12 I will train you for interviews : see details above.
From 13:30 to 16:30 I will take you to recruitment agencies and centres to check offers and apply

CV CORRECTION

Before working for this agency, I was a shop manager for a big company. I was frequently receiving CVs. I therefore know exactly what employers are expecting when reading a CV. You should know that if the presentation is incorrect or if the content is flat it is promptly disposed of. You must be very careful when writing your CV and this is a task I can help you with.
